Highfield Level 2 Award for Door supervisor in the Private Security Industry (Top Up)

 

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new license-linked qualifications requirements.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners are expected to undertake approximately 23 hours of learning. The SIA stipulates a minimum of 13 hours and 35 minutes of contact time (2-days) if self-study is undertaken. Knowledge assessment method Externally set and marked multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination made up of 10 questions (20 minutes) Pass mark = 70% Externally set and marked multiple choice question (MCQ) examination made up of 5 questions (10 minutes) Pass mark = 70% Externally set and marked multiple choice question (MCQ) examination made up of 30 questions (45 minutes) Pass mark = 80%
Practical assessment method N/A Externally set and internally assessed observation of using communications devices Pass mark – 100% Externally set, internally assessed observation of each learner performing every technique with an observation sheet And Q/A session to cover critical areas of PI knowledge

Pass mark = 100% The practical assessment for each learner must be visually recorded and is recommended to take approximately 15 minutes per learner
