Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
All UK employers have a legal obligation to provide appropriate First Aid provision for their workforce, and many companies choose to have key staff trained as First Aiders. This comprehensive 3-day First Aid at Work course provides the set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) course complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It includes all necessary training needed for the Emergency First Aid Work (EFAW). The First Aid at Work (FAW) course gives First Aiders the essential knowledge and skills that they need to carry out their role and deal confidently with major and minor injuries and illnesses. It is suitable for any person who has been designated as a First Aider at work (FAW).
Before the expiry of First Aid certificate, students who wish to remain First Aiders must take a shorter First Aid Requalification course, which will re-authorize them for a further three years. Our First Aid courses are classroom based with tutor-led teaching, activities, multiple choice test papers and practical assessments.
Our First Aid at work course is suitable for businesses who need to learn new first aid skills or refresh their existing knowledge.
The training tends to impart knowledge, guiding the students about the responsibility of the first aider, thoroughly teaching them how to assess a scenario, recognizing the signs & symptoms of a certain injury or illness. Other first aid skills such as how to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) along with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is taught.
Significantly, for any casualty suffering from major injury/trauma such as chest injuries, spinal injuries or anaphylaxis, our seasoned instructors explain & deconstruct everything with patience & passion.
