Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
This Emergency First Aid at Work course is a lifesaver course, giving participants essential lifesaving emergency techniques. The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training courses cover the content specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
This 1-day course will cover the basics of First Aid specifically for the workplace. This emergency first aid course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only is sufficient for your workplace.
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 Highfield Certificate this provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low-risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 purposes. All of our First Aid courses are approved by Highfield Qualifications.
A comprehensive 1-day course allowing a first aider to give emergency first aid to someone who’s injured or becomes ill at work. Suitable for all those working environments where there’s a minimal record of hazards along with a limited number of staff.
The qualification comprises 1 unit:
- Unit 1- Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
Assessment:
The assessment for this course consists of a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
Unit 1- Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
- Completely absorbing the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Processing the severity of an incident
- To be able to give first aid to an unresponsive casualty (promptly)
- To be capable of provide first aid to a person who’s choking
- Providing first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- Complete know-how about how to give first aid to a casualty who’s in shock
- Able to render first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
